Jessica Harms Biography

Since her graduation from the University of Georgia with magna cum laude honors Jessica has continued creating artwork and is currently the visual arts teacher at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic School and at Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. Jessica has also earned many awards including the Archbishop Teacher of the Year Award for the 2010-2011.

While not teaching Jessica is also a mentor for 'One Love Generation', a non-profit organization empowering youth to inspire positive social change through art, service and awareness. 'In hand' with visual arts education Jessica utilizes the inspiration of her students to create her own artwork while raising money for her various art organizations. In December of 2008 Jessica was nominated for and won the national "My Wendy, My Way" art contest. Sponsored by the Wendy's fast food chain, Jessica raised over $25,000 for her art program to promote technology and modern art education. Jessica will continue to explore where her paintings take her with her dream to one day travel the world and create paintings of the amazing places she visits. Until then she will remain persistent in her passion for educating her community about the beauty of art.
